Here and Now

Here and Now is an ongoing “document” of our emergence from the isolation and disenchantment of COVIDWorld. For much of last year, I couldn’t work at all, trapped in lockdown and alienated from myself and my surroundings. Gradually I came out, first photographing at night, then, beginning in January 2021, during the day, when I began to try to capture the effects of the epidemic on those who were attempting their own return to some new routine, all the while remaining cocooned within themselves, socially distanced and self-contained, attempting, to remain safe and hidden from the viral scourge.
