Unspoken Subjects
Unspoken Subjects, a follow-up to Hidden District, is a close examination of the urban landscape, focusing on a number of key pictorial elements, among them detail, vantage point, frame, color, and line. The marks we make, the signs we leave behind; the artificial and the natural. I have chosen to shoot vertically for the most part and reduce the depth of field. The aim is to picture the thing itself in a new way, psychologically and emotionally, perhaps as a fragment from a dream recovered or a memory recalled. Hence, these pictures are untitled. Let their “meaning” – and more – wash over you.
