Invisible Lines

Reality rests on the cusp of dreams, fantasies of truth that connect us to the world and each other. Photography is one such fiction, a way to tell human stories that capture the fleeting moments of our lives. Individual photographs are like stars in the sky. To fully grasp those chance encounters, passing glances, and, most important, lost slivers of time, the pictures must be seen, in John Berger’s words, as “constellations,” and the invisible lines that bind them, and us, must be presumed.

Put another way: Everything changes; everything is connected. Let the subject speak for itself; become invisible. And, most important, pay attention.
